This week is the board meeting, so the meeting will be a bit shorter, but still not without a point of interest. John Kinai will be giving his “member behind the badge” talk this week. John has lived for many years in both Australia and PNG working for the Department of Defence. As you get to know John, he is quite a character so I am sure this will be an entertaining and quite different talk.
Michael Nash tabled at the meeting last week an opportunity that has fallen our way to make some money. West Footscray Rotary does gate marshalling at district footy matches, but one of the other Rotary clubs that usually assists them were forced to pull out at short notice due to a more pressing commitment. Michael is giving a more detailed report also within this Bulletin, so I will not elaborate any further. This is a different sort of way to raise some money, but this opportunity is only in front of us for a short while.
We have a representation going over the weekend of the 15th and 16th August, so we will have a bit of feedback at this week’s meeting.
Remember..........The future of Rotary is in your hands!!
